When we signed our book deal with Random House almost exactly one year ago, we made a promise to ourselves that we'd host a mega launch party. Well, if you can't have goals, and all that...
And we stayed true to our word, with a (modesty removed for a moment) spectacular night. The amazing 100 Wardour provided us with a glorious space and canapés to keep the masses well fed. Drinks came thanks to the brilliantly named (and we feel, perfectly en pointe) Two Birds gin; any rumours that too many were consumed by Alice and Phanella are wholly untrue (!)
The incredible Bag and Bones lent us some incredible neon signs, which we have now ordered for our homes. You should have a look too, the lips, flamingos and Kate Moss legs added an extra sparkle to proceedings.
Our goodie bags came thanks to Smashbox cosmetics and our newest friend and cook phenomenon Juliet Sear, who made cookies, or as she likes to call them, 'bookies, of our book cover. Tasty and stylish in equal measure.
There was laughter, tears and lots of old faces. We had a fabulous night that really did launch our book in style. Now we can go back to our original To Do and put a big tick in the first box. Over and out.
